There isn’t enough enough diversity in the venture capital industry. According to 2018 data from nonprofit organization “Black-V-V” African-Americans only made up 3 percent of the VC industry and hispanics only made up 1 percent. Rashaun Williams, founding partner at Queensbridge venture fund, says the problem is largely due to the wealth gap and community approach.
